Hospitality Assessment Success

Guests at the Hospitality Assessment dinner on Wednesday, 26th June
Creamy pumpkin soup, macaroni cheese, beef goulash, Spanish frittata, rich chocolate cake, apple pie, fruit salad, jelly, cream and custard! If the thought of any of those comfort foods makes you hungry, imagine all of them at your fingertips as they were on Wednesday, 27th of June as our hospitality students planned for and prepared restaurant quality meals for nineteen guests as part of their end of semester assessment.

Having spent the first half of this year preparing tuckshop items to order for up to 40 people each week, our hospitality students have perfected their culinary skills and understand that cleaning up afterwards is all part of the process. With a special mention to Cash, who has been a stalwart in the tuckshop kitchen for the past 18 months but was unable to make it on the day, all of the hospo students had a role to play with some prepping and cooking, others serving and collecting dirty dishes. Their incredible teamwork demonstrated how far they have come since the nervousness of their early days in the kitchen.

With thanks to staff members Chrissy and Tony for their help and students who helped set up tables and clean up the kitchens after the cooking marathon, guests were barely able to move after sampling such delicious food.

Great Job Hospitality Team!
